Craig joined NFA as Bluff Port Manager in August 2016. He has over fifteen years experience in the forestry and transport industry. Craig previously managed a sawmill in Tuatapere as well as their logging operations.
Craig enjoys overseeing the day-to-day operations in Bluff and at checkpoint in Clifton. He enjoys the variation that comes with his role and finds it rewarding to see the loading of vessels run smoothly from start to finish. Craig enjoys seeing the growth of his staff and the improvement in their skill levels, with new employees coming through and receiving additional training to improve their expertise. He’s proud that the company facilitates this development.
Craig has a lot of respect for NFA, as they have a real focus on Health and Safety for all their staff, maintain their machinery to a high standard and are open to new ideas and improvements. He appreciates the open communication and availability of all staff and management.
Outside of work, Craig enjoys fishing, diving and competitive wood chopping, a sport which he has been competing in for over 15 years and has reached national representative levels.
